Aurora Innovation may match size of West Coast presence with local office deal

PITTSBURGH — Aurora Innovation Inc. may soon match its growing headquarters presence on the West Coast with a major expansion in Pittsburgh as well.

The company isn’t confirming anything, but sources indicate that Aurora is lined up to take the office space available at 1600 Smallman, The site is Chicago-based McCaffery Interests’ redevelopment project of a Strip District warehouse into a new office property as a companion to its Strip District Terminal redevelopment across the street.
