MONROEVILLE, Pa. — JPMorgan Chase & Co. plans to add a branch in Monroeville, according to a regulatory filing.
According to its application with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the site is at NWC William Penn Highway, also known as Route 22, and Improvement Drive. The commentary period ends on Oct. 2.
A spokesman said via email that the Monroeville location is expected to open in 2022. Chase plans to have 21 branches open in the Pittsburgh region by the end of the year, closing in on its goal of 25 in less than three years. It employs five to seven people per branch location.
Chase (NYSE:JPM) entered the increasingly competitive local retail banking landscape in October 2019. According to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp.’s deposit market share report, as of June 30, Chase was No. 39 out of a field of 52 in the 10-county Pittsburgh metro with 15 branches, most of which opened during a two week span in late 2020.
