These are the new Pittsburgh restaurants and bars that opened in 2020

PITTSBURGH — The Covid-19 pandemic has been brutal to the restaurant and bar industry over the past year and dozens of Pittsburgh-area establishments have had to close their doors for good due to the financial hardships.

Some have managed to find opportunity amid the unforgiving times, however, as dozens of new locations popped up throughout the region last year. These are just some of the Pittsburgh restaurants and bars that opened throughout the region in 2020.

Downtown

Gaucho Parrilla Argentina Wood Fire Grill relocated from its Strip District location to 146 Sixth St. in the Cultural District and opened for business in June following its January move.

The Speckled Egg opened in the Union Trust Building in January and features breakfast classics like French Toast and scrambled eggs.
