CANTON TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — Residents of Canton Township said they are sick and tired of looking at home that has been left alone for nearly three years.
According to neighbors, the lawn hasn't been cut since the owners left and the house on Crescent Drive has been burglarized and vandalized.
"The big concern that is happening for us right now is the crime that is happening at the house. The broken windows and the teenagers that run here throughout the night," said Tina Kay.
Kay said over the past few years people have broken out the windows and even stolen aluminum and copper from the house.
Canton Township code enforcement officials said the house is foreclosure and legally they are unable to go onto the property.
"You have to be mad at the bank. You have to be mad at the township. They have an enforcement officer and nothing happens," said neighbor Raymond Cappelli.
Township officials said they recently learned what bank owns the home. Residents of the neighborhood said they have contacted the bank, but have not gotten any answers.
"You can't find anything out about this house. You can't call a phone number. It's a dead house," said Kay.
"The attorney that works for the mortgage company in Philadelphia, he won't give any information. People wanted to buy this place and you can't find anything about it," Capelli said.
Township officials said they are continuing their efforts to work with the bank, but as of now the process of resolving the issue is at a standstill.
