Carnegie Science Center to hold ‘Super Pi Day' Saturday

PITTSBURGH — This Saturday, the Carnegie Science Center will celebrate ‘Super Pi Day,’ which corresponds with Saturday’s date, 3.14.15.

As you would expect, guests in attendance will be able to participate in a number of pi-related activities, such as pizza pie tossing or playing the digits of Pi on their ‘Pi-ano.’

Brad Peroney of the Carnegie Science Center says that learning math goes beyond just numbers.

“Math can be used in everyday life,” said Peroney. “Even if you don’t use all of the math that you’re taught in school, learning math teaches you how to solve problems.”

Super Pi Day activities will be included with general admission. For more information, visit CarnegieScienceCenter.org.
