BRIGHTON TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — Neighbors in Brighton Township, Beaver County are asking for help after they say one man's pets are terrorizing their community.
Eric Wafer has been cited and charged several times for his Bull Mastiff dogs getting loose and attacking other dogs. Neighbors have now signed a petition asking township supervisors to do something.
"We support that we want there to be a safe neighborhood; That if regulations and recommendations made to the owner hasn't been met, we would like to see action taken that those are met so everyone can have a safe neighborhood," said neighbor Nancy Horne.
Wafer has appealed his latest charges and has a hearing later this month. Neighbors say they want to the township to take action now.
"It does concern me because I have a 10-year-old son who likes to explore. If he ventures past his known boundaries, he may encounter a free wandering animal that might hurt him," Horne said.
Channel 11 spoke with Wafer but he did not want to talk on camera. He said the case is in the legal system now and he's confident it will work itself out.
