PITTSBURGH,None — A former teacher in the Steel Valley School District pleaded guilty to having inappropriate contact with several students.
Jennifer Sowa Smith, 30, was arrested last June after students complained that they had received text messages containing nude pictures of Smith.
Smith appeared in Allegheny County Common Pleas court on Tuesday and pleaded guilty to a number of charges including unlawful contact with a minor and criminal use of a communication facility.
A judge sentenced to Smith to five years probation and ordered her to register as a Megan's Law offender. Smith was also ordered to have no contact with anyone under the age of 18.
