Fox Chapel Student, 18, Dies In Colorado Skiing Accident

VAIL, Colo.,None — Fox Chapel High School students are in mourning after a senior at the school died in a skiing accident while vacationing with his family in Vail, Colo.

According to the Eagle County Coroner, Richard Cullinan Jr. slid into trees and suffered a serious head injury on Monday at the Beaver Creek ski resort.

The coroner reported that Cullinan was wearing a helmet.

"When we found out the news from our priest, it was one of the most sades (sic) moment of my sister's and I life since us being the youngest," his brother Coelman Cullinan posted on WPXI's Facebook page.

Leaders at Fox Chapel High School have been passing out white wristbands in honor of Cullinan, and classmates have been posting their condolences on WPXI's Facebook page.

"I went to school with Rich since kindergarten. He was one of the nicest people you could meet," said one friend.

"Kids at Fox Chapel will never forget him. Gone but never forgotten," said another friend.
