NEW CASTLE, Pa.,None — Police said two men, including one who looks like Grizzly Adams, were charged with stealing a heater from a business in New Castle and trying to sell if for scrap money.
Larry Rape, 56, and Randy Lee Montgomery Jr., 34, were spotted removing the heater Saturday at Graziani Fuel Services along Butler Avenue, police said.
Luke Graziani said his cousin was taking photos near the property when he saw a man who looked like Grizzly Adams loading the heater into a truck.
"He had a big beard, was heavy set, burly and goofy looking," said Graziani
Anticipating the two thieves were going to sell the heater for scrap, Graziani went to Ferrotech scrap yard on South Jefferson Avenue, where he met officers.
Police said Rape and Montgomery were in line at the Ferrotech on Route 18 in New Castle, waiting to be paid for the stolen copper when he was taken into custody.
Both were charged with theft, receiving stolen property and conspiracy.
