Kentucky — A special birth announcement was posted on Facebook today.
American Pharoah may be best known for winning the Triple Crown, but he now has another accomplishment to celebrate: the birth of his first foal.
The proud father posted a photo of his handsome bay colt, standing alongside his mother Kakadu.
Born early Tuesday morning, the foal is believed to be the first born in American Pharoah's breeding season, with dozens more offspring on the way.
American Pharoah became the 12th Triple Crown winner in 2015 and now enjoys a hefty stud fee of about $200,000 in his retirement.
