NEW YORK — According to a TMZ report, Jimmy Fallon is hospitalized in New York City with a hand injury.
Few details have been released, but TMZ reports Fallon taped The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, then had dinner at Scalinatella in the Upper East Side.
TMZ reports Fallon left the restaurant around 9 p.m. and went home. His rep told TMZ the injury happened early Friday morning in his apartment.

TMZ reports Fallon went to the hospital and a specialist recommended he have surgery immediately.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon's official Twitter account said Friday afternoon that Fallon injured his hand and Friday's taping was canceled.
