PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at a row house in Pittsburgh’s Beltzhoover neighborhood just before 5 p.m. yesterday.

The fire happened in the 300 block of Boggston Avenue.

Police said the fire was first reported in the kitchen. When police got to the scene, they saw flames at the back of one end of a five-unit row house.

Police began evacuating residents from the apartments.

Police said a few of the apartments were unoccupied.

According to police, one woman was transported to the hospital with burn injuries and smoke inhalation. A truck captain from the responding unit was also taken to the hospital for debris in his eye.

The Fire Investigation Unit is investigating the cause of the fire.
