PITTSBURGH — Two Deer Lakes High School football players were flown to area hospitals by medical helicopter Friday after sustaining injuries during a game.

Channel 11's Rich Walsh spoke to the school's athletic director, who said both players suffered concussion-like injuries.

Walsh reported that one of the players was flown to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. The other injured player was taken to Allegheny General Hospital.

The athletic director said both students are doing well and have since been released from the hospital. Neither will play in the school's final game this coming Friday.
