2 killed in head-on collision in Lawrence County

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Pa. — Two people were killed in a car crash Friday afternoon in Lawrence County.

According to police, the crash was reported about 4:30 p.m. on Route 422 in Pulaski Township, near the Ohio state line.

A car driven by Justin Stone, 31, was traveling eastbound when it crossed two lanes of traffic, struck a guardrail and hit an oncoming vehicle head-on, police said.

Investigators said Stone’s passenger, Richard Kubik, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene along with the driver of the second vehicle, Robert Bacon, 62.

Stone was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio. His condition is unknown.
