VERONA, Pa. — Two men are facing charges after police say they found them with drugs and weapons during a traffic stop.
A spokesperson for the Verona Police Department said officers stopped a vehicle along Allegheny River Blvd near Wildwood Avenue for an equipment violation and an expired registration at 12:12 p.m. on Thursday.
Police said narcotics and a handgun were found inside the vehicle, which was also operating with a fake inspection sticker, an expired registration and without valid insurance.
A 62-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were both arrested. Police said they both had suspended licenses.
They face charges of drug possession, firearms offenses, displaying fraudulent inspection and other vehicle code violations.
