2nd arrest made in October fatal shooting at Bob’s Tavern in Finleyville

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. — A second arrest has been made in the shooting death of 29-year-old Jaisen Irwin.

Keaundre Crews now sits behind bars, accused of pulling the trigger that led to Irwin’s death in October following a shooting in the parking lot of Bob’s Tavern in Finleyville.

According to the criminal complaint, Irwin got into a fight with a group of people at Jim’s Bar in Monongahela, causing the bar to close early.

Police say that was when the group decided to go to Bob’s Tavern, about 15 minutes away.

Washington County District Attorney, Jason Walsh, says countless hours of investigating went into tracking down Crews and connecting him to the crime, including using surveillance video from the area and finding the getaway car that he used that night sitting in the driveway of his Charleroi home.

“He’s an individual who was in altercation with the victim,” said Walsh. “We used video evidence and gathered information from cell phones and vehicles.”

Crews, who has been convicted of robbery and aggravated assault in the past, is the second person arrested in this case.

The first was Maurissa Spencer.

During the night of the crime, an officer found Irwin’s body just around the corner from Bob’s Tavern. Spencer told police Irwin was in her car and fell out while she was driving. She also admitted that she kept going and did not stop.

Police later found her car, which was riddled with bullets.

“We obviously don’t believe and don’t think that’s a credible way the victim ended up in the street,” said Walsh.

Now, a month after the incident, Bob’s Tavern remains closed.

Walsh obtained an order to have the bar shut down, saying the tavern is a nuisance that attracts drug activity.

“We will not tolerate illegal behavior and we definitely won’t tolerate homicides,” said Walsh. “We will make sure the public is safe at establishments.”

Crews faces several charges, including criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy engaging — criminal homicide, possession of a prohibited firearm, and firearms not to be carried without a license.

Crews was denied bail and is due back in court at the end of this month.
