Indiana County man charged with arson for 4 fires across Cherryhill Township

An Indiana County man is accused of setting a series of suspicious fires.

Pennsylvania State Police announced felony arson and other related charges against Christopher Scott Brady, 38, on Tuesday. He’s now in the Indiana County Jail on a $2 million bond.

Brady is accused in a series of four fires in Cherryhill Township in 2024 and 2025.

Troopers say two of those fires took place at the Eastern Orthodox Foundation, one in October 2024 and the other in July 2025.

Another fire was at Pike’s Peak Nurseries in August 2025, and the final incident was in a vacant home on South Harmony Road, also in August 2025.

The total estimated property loss for the fires is $2,475,000.

Troopers say the day before the second fire at the Eastern Orthodox Foundation property, there was a burglary on the property in a building occupied by Spirit Life.

A black-colored pickup truck with a silver toolbox was observed fleeing the scene on surveillance video, troopers say. Investigators later discovered the vehicle belongs to Brady.

Investigators also used cellular data and location history to determine a device belonging to Brady was located at the scene or in the area of all the fires. He also reportedly lived within the same geographical location of all the fires.
