PITTSBURGH — On this day 35 years ago, the "We Are Family" Pirates won the World Series.
The Pittsburgh Pirates came back from a three-game to one-game deficit to beat the Baltimore Orioles in Game 7.
The Pirates were famous for adopting Sister Sledge's hit anthem "We Are Family" as their theme song.
Willie Stargell, Bruce Kison, and Manny Sanguillén were on the winning team. The three also played in the 1971 World Series.
