WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — Four cats are missing after a break-in at the Westmoreland County Humane Society Sunday night.
The people who run the humane society said it remains a mystery as to why someone would break-in just to steal four cats.
“They either came in looking for a specific animal and didn’t see it and left, or they were after maybe our drugs - the kind we keep on for surgery and maybe chickened out,” said Megan Fritz, who works at the Westmoreland County Humane Society.
The Westmoreland County Humane Society said they’ll be investing in cameras for the property to prevent something like this from happening again.
