A Lower Burrell man is facing criminal charges after an undercover drug investigation.

The North Huntingdon Police Department says Larry Sieff, 72, is accused of transporting and selling large quantities of heroin and fentanyl across Allegheny and Westmoreland counties. He’s now facing charges of drug delivery and possession.

The investigation began after the North Huntingdon Township Police Department says it got information that Sieff was living in an RV camper in Adamsburg while allegedly selling bricks of heroin and fentanyl. Undercover officers subsequently conducted a series of controlled drug buys with Sieff between May and June.

During the first operation in May, an undercover officer contacted Sieff to buy heroin. Sieff agreed to sell 10 bricks of heroin for $1,500, but said he needed transportation to pick up the narcotics from a dealer near the McKeesport area. The officer drove Sieff to a parking lot in North Versailles, where Sieff exchanged money and drugs with a man who had a woman and a child inside his vehicle. The undercover officer then drove Sieff back to his camper in Adamsburg.

In June, the undercover officer set up a second transaction to purchase 20 bricks of heroin and fentanyl for $3,000. The officer picked up Sieff and drove to a Family Dollar store in Clairton to meet the same supplier. During the drive back to Adamsburg, police said Sieff kept two bricks of the narcotics for himself as payment for arranging the exchange.

Later in June, the undercover officer contacted Sieff to arrange a purchase of one gram of crack cocaine from an unidentified Pittsburgh-area dealer for $800, providing an extra $100 fee to Sieff for setting up the deal. During the drive, Sieff told the officer that the crack cocaine dealer was the brother of their previous heroin and fentanyl supplier. The exchange occurred at a shopping plaza located off Browns Hill Road.

All narcotics recovered by police during the undercover operation will be sent to a laboratory for formal analysis.

Police say there’s an active arrest warrant for Sieff.
