Police said the three adults jumped two girls, a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old, near a park on the city’s North Side near Woods Run Road and beat them until they almost blacked out.
Investigators said the incident started after a fight in downtown Pittsburgh between teenagers the weekend of the EQT Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta.
Authorities said the 14-year-old and 16-year-old, who told officers they weren't involved in the fight, took a bus home and were walking up Central Avenue when Moore, Johnson and Cheatham pulled up in an SUV.
According to the criminal complaint, Moore allegedly shouted, "I'll teach you not to jump my daughter" and then the assault began.
Investigators said the 14-year-old, who only weighs 75 pounds, was kicked in the head, face, spine and chest at least 10 times. The adults then grabbed her by her hair and began to slam her head off of the concrete multiple times.
Police said the 16-year-old tried to get away, but police and Johnson grabbed her and slammed her head off a metal railing.
Both girls were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Their current conditions are not known.
