Additionally, westbound traffic from Oakland into the city will be blocked off, starting Wednesday. The closure of the westbound lanes of Route 380 between Baum Boulevard and the Bloomfield Bridge will last for 91 days.
The closures are part of a $12.24 million roadway reconstruction project of Route 380 (Baum Boulevard/Bigelow Boulevard) between Morewood Avenue and Herron Avenue.
PennDOT said if the project continues as planned, work should wrap up in November around Thanksgiving.
In the meantime, PennDOT advises motorists to use caution, slow down and expect changing traffic patterns.
