A bomb threat has prompted evacuations at all schools within the Freedom Area School District in Beaver County.
Freedom Area High School Superintendent Jeff Beltz said a “nondescript bomb threat” was emailed to High School Principal Steve Mott on Monday.
The high school was evacuated, and the district is now in the process of evacuating the middle school and elementary schools.
High school students will be dismissed to families from the stadium.
Beltz said parents should enter at the top high school entrance off of Harvey Run Road on Harvey Avenue. At the Bulldog statue, parents should turn left and proceed past the baseball and softball fields and go around the elementary school to the stadium for pickup.
Families of students in grades K-8 will be directed to stay in line in front of the middle school and elementary schools and pick up students on the front side of the schools, near the stadium.
All parents and/or guardians are asked to have their IDs with them.
The district will also be running normal after-school bus transportation for students who can not be picked up by their families for the early dismissal.
