PITTSBURGH — A police pursuit ended in a crash in Pittsburgh’s Oakland neighborhood on Friday morning.
The pursuit ended when the suspect’s vehicle hit a Pittsburgh Police cruiser at the intersection of Centre Avenue and Craig Street, as an officer tried to assist by laying a strike strip in the roadway.
Public Safety officials said the chase started east of the city and did not directly involve Pittsburgh Police.
Several people from inside the vehicle were taken into custody. Details on charges and what led to the pursuit have not been released.
The vehicle reportedly hit a road sign outside of a nearby vape shop, smashing glass in front of the business.
No injuries were reported.
