• Boy, 7, shot, killed outside Mercer County gun store

    MERCER COUNTY, Pa. - A boy, 7, was killed Saturday in an accidental shooting outside a gun store in Mercer County, police said.

    According to police, the boy was in a booster seat in a pickup outside Twigs Reloading Den on Sharon-Mercer Road around 11 a.m. when his father’s handgun went off. The boy was struck in the chest.

    The incident is under investigation.

    There’s no word on whether any charges will be filed against the father.
