PITTSBURGH — A man accidentally shot himself in the leg Thursday morning in the parking lot of Community College of Beaver County.

Channel 11's Dave Bondy reports the 21-year-old was cleaning his weapon when it accidentally went off.

The incident happened about 8 a.m. Emergency dispatchers said the man was in his car at the time.
The man, whose name hasn’t been released, was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The call initially came in for a reported shooting at the Beaver County Airport. The incident happened at CCBC, but the land they are on is owned by the airport authority.
