2 men break into Butler home, tie up people inside, police say

BUTLER, Pa. — Police in Butler are looking for two men who they said broke into a West Cunningham Street home and tied up the two people inside.

The victims were sitting in the living room around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday when someone knocked on the door, police said.

When they answered it, two men forced their way inside and tied the two people up in the basement, police said.

The men stole money and left, according to police. The victims had minor injuries.

The two men responsible were dressed in all dark clothing and covered their faces with bandannas or masks, and pulled their hoods over their heads to hide their identities. They were also wearing gloves.
