CARNEGIE, Pa. — Two parents are facing charges after police said their 9-year-old son tested positive for meth.

Police were called to the home of Matthew and Regina Jameson on Midland Avenue in Carnegie on Aug. 25.

According to a criminal complaint, Regina Jameson failed to give a urine sample for a drug test before leaving the courthouse earlier in the day.

An emergency custody order was then issued to have their 9-year-old son, who is described as nonverbal and autistic, removed from the home.

The caseworker told officers that he needed to be taken to Children’s Hospital for evaluation, where he tested positive for meth in his system, according to police.

Matthew and Regina Jameson are both charged with endangering the welfare of children.
