Children's Home of Pittsburgh gets brand new electronics from Mario Lemieux Foundation

PITTSBURGH — Kids at the Children’s Home of Pittsburgh and the Lemieux Family Center received a major multi-media upgrade Wednesday.

It was like Christmas in April when brand new Xboxes, laptops and TVs were provided by Make Room for Kids, an initiative of the Mario Lemieux Foundation.

“It’s just going to help make it feel more like home because, as we know, lots of families have these devices in their home. The kids don’t necessarily have them when they’re in hospitals,” CEO of the Children’s Home Pam Schanwald said.

Local Microsoft employees were instrumental in the success of the project, Schanwald said.
