Cleveland Browns reveal new logo .. sort of

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns unveiled a series of logo alterations Tuesday. But you’ll have to look closely to see the changes.

The Browns’ helmets will continue to have an orange crown, but the club says the orange will be “brighter and richer.”

In addition, a rendering of the new helmet posted on the Browns' official website shows a brown facemask, not the gray facemask from last season.

The website said the logo evolution is to "Respect the past. Represent the future."

"Our updated helmet logo is reflective of today's modern Cleveland – the design honors the past while evolving into the future. The iconic brown and white stripes stand tall over the orange helmet – a new orange color that matches the passion of the Dawg Pound. The new brown facemask represents the strength and toughness of Cleveland."

NBC's Pro Football Talk reported the club's logo lettering has also been changed to a plain block styling. Previously, the lettering had stenciling.

The Browns franchise will present redesigned uniforms for 2015 on April 14.
