2 people killed in house fire in East Huntingdon

EAST HUNTINGDON, Pa. — Two people were killed in a house fire in East Huntingdon.

The fire began at around 8:20 p.m. Friday at a home in the 100 block of Espey Road, officials said.

According to the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office, two unidentified people, a male and female, were discovered deceased in the house.

Officials said the victims had extensive thermal injuries.

The cause and manner of their deaths are pending autopsy results, toxicology results, and further investigation into the cause of the fire.
