PITTSBURGH — Two lawyers have been fired from the Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office as a criminal investigation has been launched against one of the veteran lawyers.
Criminal Defense Attorney Sumner Parker, a 27-year veteran, was involuntarily terminated earlier in September. Police said they have launched an investigation into undisclosed activities of Parker.
William Stanislaw was fired on unrelated issues, Channel 11’s Alan Jennings reported.
Elliot Howsie, director of the Public Defender’s Office, refused comment on the firings.
