Deputies apprehend 'Most Wanted' suspect in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH — Allegheny County sheriff’s deputies apprehended a “Most Wanted” suspect Tuesday morning in Pittsburgh’s Northview Heights neighborhood.

Jordan Interthal, 29, was wanted on a warrant for failing to show up to a pretrial hearing last month on charges of aggravated assault, resisting arrest and several drug charges.

According to the sheriff’s office, Interthal was first arrested on July 1 when he was a passenger in a car pulled over by Reserve Township police.

After being placed in custody during that incident, Interthal struggled with officers several times and attempted to flee the scene.

Officers eventually got control of him and found him in possession of an array of drugs like heroin, crack cocaine, Xanax and Oxycodone pills.

He was scheduled to appear at a pretrial hearing last month on those charges but never showed, which facilitated his placement on the “Most Wanted” list.

Sheriff’s deputies received an anonymous tip Tuesday morning that Interthal was in a house in the 200 block of Mt. Pleasant Street in Northview Heights and, after brief surveillance, saw the suspect leave the house.

Deputies then made a traffic stop as soon as the vehicle left the driveway and Interthal was taken into custody without incident.

He is being held in the Allegheny County Jail.
