LOWELLVILLE, Oh. — An explosive device sent debris flying at a cook out in Lowellville, Ohio, Saturday night, hitting homes, cars and victims, according to WFMJ.
The flying metal put anyone within a half block radius of the cook out in danger, according to the Youngstown Bomb Squad.

Police, the fire department, Youngstown's Bomb Squad, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives responded after the make shift cannon exploded, turning into a pipe bomb.
One man, who was struck by debris, told WFMJ that he needed 39 stitches in his leg.
Two other people suffered minor injuries during the blast.
The blast caused extensive damage to nearby cars and shattered screen doors.
A piece of metal went through a closed car garage at a nearby home, blew a hole through the metal frame and traveled a few more feet before becoming embedded in a stair railing.
According to WFMJ, no charged have been filed, but police have the name of a person of interest.
