Family, supporters continue searching for information on Hazelwood man's murder

HAZELWOOD, Pa. — A local family is increasing their efforts to find the suspect in a Hazelwood man’s murder.

Devin Wheeler, 20, was shot several times in the head last September inside his West Elizabeth Street home in Hazelwood. Police have investigated various leads, but no arrests have been made.

Wheeler’s family, along with the Pact Initiative, created a billboard near Second Avenue in Hazelwood. It was unveiled Friday night in front of supporters who gathered with candles and T-shirts.

“It’s very hard on me,” Wheeler’s mother, Christy Korbelic said. “Every day it’s hard. Every second of my life it’s hard. It’s hard for all of us because we miss him a lot.”

The group and supporters have combined to offer a $12,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
