Police investigating after man shot in ‘vital area’ Sunday afternoon in Uniontown

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — Uniontown police are investigating after a shooting Sunday afternoon that left one man with a gunshot wound to a “vital area.”

According to police, the shooting occurred while the victim was a passenger in a car.

Police said the victim is currently alive.

There are no suspects at this time.

Police also said they’re trying to pinpoint a location of the shooting. They said because it happened in a vehicle, it’s hard to say.

However, police said they have an idea where. They said the best guess is a city street off of Connellsville Street.

Police said they’re actively investigating and interviewing witnesses.
