ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. — Frustrated parents shared video Monday with Channel 11 News of the latest “childish and shameful” behavior that they say some Baldwin-Whitehall school board members have displayed during meetings.
"We are truly an embarrassment, and once again, this was a circus,” school board member Tracy Macek said in her closing comments during last week’s school board meeting.

Earlier in the meeting, Macek and board member Martin Schmotzer were caught on video passionately disagreeing on several issues. Macek accused Schmotzer of comments that hit below the belt.
District parent Jerry Pantone, who was at that meeting, said the board has dissolved into a power struggle instead of focusing on the needs of the students. He told Channel 11 News that he’s looking forward to the new board that takes office in December.
"We hope they're going to give us a more respectful board room, at least. We can't guarantee what goes on, but at least, respectfully, we hope it can be better,” Pantone said.
Macek released a statement after the meeting, saying: "It was an absolute disgrace and a true testament as to what this district has become. Pay close attention to the personal attacks on my family, particular people in the audience, our football team, teachers of the district and the public as a whole."
Another board member, Karen Brown, ended the meeting with her own statement.
"It's so sad that this continues to go on, and I will repeat what I said: I cannot wait for December,” she said.
