Greensburg holds first Relay For Life

GREENSBURG, Pa. — The first Relay For Life of Greensburg kicked off Saturday morning at Hempfield Area High School.

The event, which raises money for the American Cancer Society, began at 10 a.m. on Saturday and will continue until 10 a.m. Sunday.

During the relay, participants celebrate the lives of cancer survivors, remember people who have died from cancer and fight back against the disease.

About 1,000 people are expected to take part in the 24-hour event.
