• ‘Help me I'm poor': FAFSA Tweet sparks outrage

    PITTSBURGH - It’s an Internet meme that has been circulating for some time, but its latest use is sparking outrage.

    The official Twitter account for the Education Department’s Federal Student Aid agency used a meme from the movie "Bridesmaids" that says, "Help me I'm poor." The Tweet sent out Tuesday night said, “If this is you, then you better fill out your FAFSA.”

    The deadline to submit the form, which determines eligibility for college grants, loans and work-study, is midnight on June 30.

    The Tweet was deleted about an hour after it was posted and the agency Tweeted this message:
