PITTSBURGH — The Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh held its End of Summer “Pawty” at its East Side campus this weekend.
The event gives the organization not only a chance to celebrate the animals and those who support them, but also the staff that works so hard with their dogs.
Executive Director of the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh Dan Cody highlighted appreciation for work done by the organization’s behavior team.
“When you think of a shelter...it’s not the ideal place for dogs or cats to be, but our behavior team is here and provides that extra level of support that those animals really need to enrich their experience while they’re here,” Cody said.
Around 400 guests were invited to the celebration.
They also got a chance to tour the facility and meet some of the animals up for adoption.
