PITTSBURGH — Imani Christian Academy in the East Hills is closed on Thursday due to a “shooter threat.”
The following message pops up when you go on to its website: “Imani Christian Academy will be closed on Thursday, April 28th due to a shooter threat. Police are actively investigating the incident. Testing will resume on Friday.”
Pittsburgh police said they received a call from the CEO of the school late Wednesday night to report the emailed threat. They said there were no specifics regarding date and time.
The school asked for extra police patrol for the start and end of the day, according to police, but decided to close for the day instead.
