LATROBE, Pa. — Entry forms are now available for Downtown Latrobe’s Annual Holly Jolly Gingerbread House Contest.

The contest features three competition categories: Youth (ages 3 to 12), Teen (ages 13 to 17) and Adult/Groups (ages 18 and older, including local businesses and organizations).

“We are so excited for the return of this annual, fan-favorite contest and to continue growing this festive tradition,” Michael Tusay said, executive director of the Latrobe Art Center. “Last year’s competition featured more than 20 incredible gingerbread creations and we can’t wait to see what all of the contestants bring to the table this year.”

Participants can access and submit entry forms online at hollyjollylatrobe.com or in person at the Latrobe Art Center.

Submissions will be accepted through Monday, Nov. 23. Completed gingerbread houses must be dropped off at Latrobe-WCCC on Tuesday, Dec. 1, between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. to be sorted and displayed for public viewing and judging.

A panel of professional judges will select first through third place awards in each category. Category award winners will be announced and presented on Thursday, Dec. 3, during the annual tree lighting ceremony at Light Up Latrobe.

Community members will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite gingerbread houses in each category from Thursday, Dec. 3, through Saturday, Dec. 5. Winners of the Community Choice Award will be announced on Monday, Dec. 7, on the Holly Jolly Christmas in Latrobe Facebook page following the holiday event.
