Channel 11 confirmed that Williams has served as a travel soccer coach for the Ringgold Area Youth Soccer organization for the last four years, completing three background checks, with the most recent having occurred in March.
Requests for comment from board members of the organization were not immediately returned Thursday.
Investigators said Williams was sharing and downloading thousands of video files.
Federal agents searched his basement office Wednesday, confiscating his computer and external hard drives.
Channel 11's Cara Sapida reported that investigators found more than 1,400 videos of child pornography on those hard drives.
Sapida also learned that Williams confessed to federal agents to having saved “significant amounts” of child porn but insisted he “never had sexual contact with a child.” Federal agents said Williams added that he knew it was illegal to possess the content and that he can go to jail because of it.
Williams was taken to the Washington County Jail but posted bond Thursday morning.
