PITTSBURGH — A young man is in critical condition after being shot in Braddock Friday afternoon.
The shooting happened on Camp Avenue.
Police said the man was shot in the head and taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
"It's appalling that somebody would have such reckless disregard for not only the life of the person they're intending to harm but the kids and other residents in close proximity," said Braddock Mayor John Fetterman.
Police are hoping surveillance video will help them track down the individual or individuals involved. The cameras were installed to capture license plate numbers.
The victim's name and condition have not been released.
