SOUTH CONNELLSVILLE,Pa. — A Fayette County man is behind bars after police said he robbed a man who uses crutches to walk.
Troy Knox, 19, said he was born with spina bifida and can't walk without the help of crutches. On Friday, Knox said he was waiting to meet a friend when he was attacked behind the South Connellsville Police Department.
Everett Justice, 27, was arrested Wednesday. Police said he assaulted Knox and stole $30.
"I got assaulted by the back of the throat because he was to the back of me. He threw me down and reached into my pockets. He got everything out and threw it on the ground and took the money, but left everything else," Knox said.
Knox said he knows Justice through friends and feels like he was set up.
Justice is being held at the Fayette County prison.
