PITTSBURGH — A city of Pittsburgh paramedic has resigned after he was caught working another government job.
Channel 11 told you last week that John Hill was suspended after three decades as a city medic.
A few weeks ago, he says, he took a full-time job at the Allegheny County Fire Academy and had been doing both jobs.
That’s against the city’s charter.
He previously told 11 Investigates he planned to retire from the city, but he says the county asked him to start earlier.
Channel 11 reached out to the county and officials tell us he is currently a full-time instructor at the fire academy.
They had no comment on his employment with the city.
