PITTSBURGH — SWAT units are at the scene of a situation in Pittsburgh’s Mt. Washington neighborhood.
Allegheny County dispatchers say police responded to the 100 block of Southern Avenue at 5:07 p.m. on Tuesday.
Pittsburgh Public Safety officials say a “male” with multiple warrants is barricaded inside a residence in that area. The suspect’s age has not been released at this time.
Southern Avenue is closed from Cowan Street to Sandwich Way. Gray Street leading up to Southern Avenue is also closed.
Residents are asked to avoid the area for the time being.
