PITTSBURGH — A man is in critical condition following an officer-involved shooting in Pittsburgh’s Lincoln-Lemington-Belmar neighborhood on Thursday night.

At around 8:40 p.m., 911 dispatchers were called about three men arguing in the 6600 block of Lyric Street, threatening to pull out guns.
When officers arrived on scene, they encountered a man holding a gun. According to the Allegheny County Police Department, officers ordered the man to drop the gun, but the man turned abruptly toward the officers, and the officer then fired his weapon.
The man whom the officer shot was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
No officers were injured.
Friday afternoon, Allegheny County police said they’d obtained an arrest warrant for 50-year-old Maurice Manson of Pittsburgh in connection with the incident.
Manson is charged with aggravated assault of a police officer. ACPD says he’s in stable condition at the hospital.
