Point Breeze man who killed Plum mother while driving drunk to be sentenced

PENN HILLS, Pa. — A Point Breeze man will be sentenced Thursday for driving drunk and causing a crash that killed a Plum woman and severely injured her son last May.

Prosecutors said Duane Woodson was driving a tow truck without a license in Penn Hills last May when he crashed head-on into Christine Beilstein’s car.

Beilstein was killed and her 9-year-old son suffered severe head injuries.

Woodson pleaded guilty in October to vehicular homicide, drunken driving and 16 other charges.
