ALIQUIPPA, Pa. — A woman was found dead in her Aliquippa home Friday.
A crowd started gathering on Adams Street just before 4 p.m. Channel 11's Cara Sapida reported it was an emotional scene.
Police identified the victim as Patricia Thompson.
Thompson's daughter discovered her body on the kitchen floor, and she had been badly beaten, Sapida reported.
Police said Thompson's car was missing. It was later found in Sewickley and in the possession of suspect James Turner, according to police. Police said the car had run out of gas.
"You didn't have to take from her. She would give you anything," said the victim's brother, James Lay.
Turner was Thompson's boyfriend, according to police.
Police said the 58-year-old suspect will be charged with criminal homicide and that his son turned him in Friday night.
"My aunt didn't deserve this," said Mike Lay.
